President & Ceo of Skoric Hearing Aid Center
Boro "Bob" Skoric has dedicated nearly four decades to helping individuals reconnect with the world through sound. As an audioprosthologist and board-certified professional in hearing instrument sciences, he combines his expertise with a true passion for improving his patients' lives. He is the founder and president of Beltone-Skoric Hearing Aid Center, which now operates 37 locations across northern Michigan. His mission has always been clear: to help people regain their hearing and, in turn, enhance their quality of life.
Originally from Eastern Europe and now residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, Bob Skoric started his journey in music. He spent over 30 years performing locally and internationally in Serbian folk and Balkan music, gaining a deep understanding of sound’s emotional and personal significance. He grew up in Donji Stepci, where his father and uncles, who played guitar, inspired him. At the age of eight, he began playing the guitar and later found his true passion in the accordion, which he studied under the guidance of a respected teacher. His dedication to his craft earned him the title “First Accordion of North America and Canada” in 1985.
Outside of his work in hearing care, Boro enjoys recording acoustic music in his studio and cherishing time with his family. His early exposure to music shaped his appreciation for sound, which he viewed as something deeply human. This understanding led him to pursue a career in hearing care, where he now helps those who have distanced themselves from the world due to hearing loss.
Although Skoric is not a medical doctor, he is certified in audioprosthology and hearing instrument sciences. He specializes in assessing hearing loss and fitting patients with hearing aids. He is also an active member of the International Hearing Society and has served as Vice President of the Michigan Alliance of Hearing Care Professionals.
Boro has helped over 20,000 people regain their hearing, allowing them to reconnect with the world around them. He is committed not just to providing hearing aids but also to educating his patients about the impact of untreated hearing loss and the solutions available to them.
Boro Skoric’s work continues to make a difference every day. His dedication to improving lives through hearing care is unwavering, and he remains committed to ensuring that no one faces hearing loss alone.
